About Me Letter to Families and Caregivers
Alignment Statement
In alignment with this standard, I extend myself to open communication and a relationship with the caregivers of the students that I work with. This introduction opens me up and invites caregivers to be in a professional and collaborative relationship with me. The education of students targets the whole student and that means a connection between home and school should be made to meet their needs. This letter demonstrates that relationship.
Narrative Statement
As an educator, I am signing up to be part of a team for a student’s success beyond the classroom. To do this I need to build relationships and maintain healthy communication with the other members of this team, families, and caregivers. Having open communication is important to collaborate with other people in my students’ lives. This goes along with the notion that it takes a village to raise a child and this artifact is a part of that village.
